Building on the iconic, Major-winning MT irons that first put MacGregor on the map back in the 1960s, the new MT-86 Pro and MT-86 OS irons represent the modern face of MacGregor, respecting and honouring the aesthetics and clean lines of the originals, but packing a host of modern technological enhancements that takes their performance to new levels for a wider range of golfers.

MT-86 OS IRONS – FORGED FEEL, MAXIMUM FORGIVENESS

Made from high quality materials and state-of-the-art manufacturing processes, the new MT-86 OS irons look every bit as classy as the original Tourney irons but offer added forgiveness and even more explosive distance.

With an oversized head, which offers a higher MOI and larger sweetspot for ultimate forgiveness, the OS irons feature a slight offset to counteract the effect of those occasional slices, while the heads are forged from a carbon steel body that is fused with a maraging steel face that is just 2mm thick.

Inside the irons, the clubheads are filled with a proprietary soft polymer foam to deliver the signature MacGregor buttery feel, while also improving acoustics for a satisfying sound at impact.

The construction also includes 5g tungsten weights in the toe of the clubhead which progressively moves the centre of gravity lower and deeper, while also increasing MOI, so that off-centre strikes still fly high, long and straight. MT-86 PRO IRONS – PRECISION & POWER

Featuring the same forged construction, 2mm explosive face and foam-filled head found in the OS model, the MT-86 Pro delivers workability whilst delivering high the levels of forgiveness needed on those occasional off-centre strikes.

Offering a beautifully clean topline and an extraordinarily elegant profile, this hot muscleback model packs a lot more forgiveness than MacGregor’s players’ irons of yesteryear and enables golfers to hit precision irons shots with confidence.  RRPs: 5-PW (£449.99), 4-PW (£529.99)

MT-86 COMBO – THE BEST OF BOTH

Many players will gravitate towards the forgiving and easy-hitting qualities of the MT-86 OS in the long irons, while preferring the precision and more compact clubface offered by the MT-86 Pro in the short irons.
