Spring is perhaps the most exciting time of year for golfers as we gear up for the new season, updating our golf bag with new equipment and our wardrobe with new apparel.

Shoes are the most important element of golf apparel as it relates to impact on your game. Having the right pair can keep you pain-free and dialed in on every swing and every shot, while having the wrong pair can make for a really long day on the course.

There are hundreds of different options from dozens of different brands, all claiming to have the best shoe on the market. That means it can be a real headache deciding which shoes are best for your feet, so we’re here to make it a little easier. Whether you prefer spiked or spikeless, traditional or modern, classic or athletic, there’s something in this list for you.

Check out Golfweek’s best golf shoes of 2026.

These shoes are made from premium leather that makes for a pristine look and durable construction that resists stretching. And while they have a traditional style, the 2026 Packard still has all the comfort technology FootJoy is known for, including the a footbed with extra cushioning and arch support.

True Linkswear OG3 Pro Spikeless Golf Shoes

The True OG3 Pro features a wide toe box and zero drop technology that ensures a flexible fit with enhanced comfort in every step. This year’s model boasts a more durable and sturdy outsole for added stability.

Nike Victory Pro 4 Spiked Golf Shoes

If you watch golf on TV, you’ll see a lot of the Nike-sponsored athletes rocking the Victory Pro 4 golf shoes. In the latest update to the Victory shoe line, Nike added a “Fly Wing,” which the brand says is designed to give golfers more speed and stability when pushing off in their downswing to generate more power. The synthetic leather upper provides a durable waterproof shell, while the foam collar on the inside makes for a sneaker-like feel.

Adidas provides a fusion of classic golf footwear and modern athletic footwear with its S2G 26 Leather Spikeless Golf Shoes. As the name suggests, the leather outer shell provides a classic look to the otherwise athletic-style design, which features a new Adiwear rubber outsole for increased durability and moisture resistance. On the inside, a Lightstrike midsole promises lightweight cushioning to make sure your feet stay comfortable all day long.

Sun Day Red Pioneer Cypress

Given the fact that Sun Day Red was founded by Tiger Woods, it’s no surprise that the design team used loads of input from the man himself. The Pioneer Cypress is one of the brand’s flagship products and has numerous tour-inspired features, like two separate removable footbeds for added comfort and a toe drop that provides better stability through impact during your swing. Plus, the calf skin leather upper gives this shoe a sharp, classic look.

FootJoy Pro SL Spikeless Golf Shoes

Instead of leather, these shoes are constructed from performance mesh that allows your feet to breathe while remaining waterproof. This particular model also boasts a StratoFoam insert in the midsole, which is designed to absorb shock to reduce fatigue while walking.

The revamped outsole provides better traction in wet conditions, while the breathable, water-repellent mesh upper makes sure your feet stay dry and cool on the links. Not only do these shoes have everything you need, but they’re also the most budget-friendly shoes on this list.

This year’s model features similar components to the Contend v2, like the ultra-soft cushioning and supportive fit that golfers who usually walk have grown to love. The v3, however, has an updated outer shell that’s more durable and easier to clean, so you can confidently sport these shoes in any conditions.

Adidas MC70 Spiked Golf Shoes

The golf aesthetic of the 1970s inspired Adidas’ design of the MC70 Spiked Golf Shoes, which are another shoe that provides golfers with a classic style without sacrificing any of the modern comfort features. The leather upper and traditional outer shell gives these shoes a vintage look while the Boost technology, which originated in the brand’s running shoes, produces exceptional comfort and responsiveness for every step and swing.

Puma Fusion Grip ST Spiked Golf Shoes

Puma had stability at top of mind when designing the Fusion Grip ST Spiked Golf Shoes. The six-spike traction system on the bottom promises to keep players grounded and stable in slippery conditions, while the brand’s signature Fusion Foam on the inner fights fatigue and keeps your feet fresh throughout your round. With a waterproof outer shell, these shoes have everything you need at a very reasonable price point.

FootJoy updates the Premiere Series with new, lighter outsole https://ultragolfing.com/footjoy-updates-the-premiere-series-with-new-lighter-outsole/ https://ultragolfing.com/footjoy-updates-the-premiere-series-with-new-lighter-outsole/#respond Sat, 14 Mar 2026 03:59:50 +0000 https://ultragolfing.com/footjoy-updates-the-premiere-series-with-new-lighter-outsole/

The new Packard and Marquis for both men and women adds updated traction and comfort refinements in classic-looking leather designs.

FootJoy is updating one of the most recognizable silhouettes in golf footwear, and it’s doing so without abandoning what made the shoe popular in the first place.

The company has unveiled the 2026 Premiere Series, a refreshed lineup that blends traditional, dress-shoe styling with a series of performance upgrades aimed squarely at competitive players who want a high-performance, traditional shoe. According to Footjoy, Premiere Series models account for roughly 40 percent of shoes worn on the PGA Tour, and the new versions are built around feedback from Tour players and elite amateurs.

The men’s lineup will feature the Premiere Series Packard and Marquis, while women will see updated Packard and Madison models. All four are constructed with hand-selected, full-grain leather uppers and detailed finishes that keep the classic wingtip and saddle aesthetics that have defined the franchise.

While the looks remain timeless, there are meaningful changes underfoot. Each model now features FootJoy’s new ARCTrax outsole technology, a spiked platform designed to deliver increased traction and stability in a range of conditions. The outsole uses an anti-channeling design and concentric flex elements intended to optimize ground interaction during the swing. Replaceable Pulsar LP cleats by SoftSpikes are standard across the line, so golfers will be able to refresh a significant level of traction anytime.

Comfort updates are just as prominent. The shoes incorporate a molded OrthoLite TruFit tongue system designed to help lock the foot in place, along with enhanced collar padding and soft leather linings for improved heel stability and underfoot cushioning. An OrthoLite EcoPlush FitBed and a Premiere EVA midsole provide firm, performance-oriented cushioning. Despite the added structure, the overall weight has been reduced compared to previously-released Premiere offerings.

On the men’s side, the Packard will be available beginning March 12 for $250, with the Marquis coming April 30 for $275. Women’s Packard ($225) and Madison ($250) both drop March 12. Like all the Premiere shoes before them, the 2026 footwear has a two-year waterproof warranty.

For players who prefer a traditional leather golf shoe but demand modern traction and stability,  the updated Premiere Series continues to be a solid choice. The styling remains rooted in FootJoy’s century-long shoemaking heritage, but the platform underneath is keeping up with the modern game and player preferences.

In a category that continues to trend toward sneaker-inspired designs, the Premiere Series remains firmly committed to the modern classic.
