Bushnell’s Tour V7 Shift introduces a new way to view slope-adjusted yardage, blending premium features with a more accessible price point.

Bushnell didn’t need to reinvent the laser rangefinder to make the Tour V7 Shift interesting. What they did instead was rethink how golfers actually use the numbers they see through the lens and then reorganize the experience around that reality.

At its core, the Tour V7 Shift is a $399.99 laser rangefinder that sits just below Bushnell’s true luxury tier, but it borrows enough DNA from the company’s premium models to feel decidedly serious. The headline feature is something Bushnell calls Slope First Technology, and it’s exactly what it sounds like. Instead of leading with raw yardage and making golfers mentally translate what elevation might mean, the Tour V7 Shift puts the slope-adjusted, “play-as” distance front and center in the display. That’s the number most amateurs actually care about, and Bushnell finally decided to stop making golfers hunt for it.

The execution matters here. The new dual-color OLED display is bright, sharp and easy to read in full sun or overcast conditions. The slope-adjusted number appears in green, while other information takes a supporting role. It’s a subtle change, but it speeds up decision-making in a way that feels natural rather than gimmicky. You look, you get the number you’ll use, and you move on with your shot.

Beyond the display, the Tour V7 Shift checks the boxes golfers have come to expect from a Bushnell device. PinSeeker with Visual JOLT gives that familiar confirmation when you’ve locked onto the flag. The integrated BITE magnetic mount makes it easy to slap onto a cart post without thinking about it. A new Yardage Range Recall feature lets you quickly pull up your last measured distance, which is surprisingly useful during practice sessions or when second-guessing yourself on the course. It also includes Bushnell’s Link-Enabled MyBag functionality, allowing golfers who are plugged into the ecosystem to see personalized “play-as” distances and club recommendations.

Comparing the Tour V7 Shift to Bushnell’s Pro X3+ helps clarify where it fits. The Pro X3+ remains the brand’s flagship, with even more premium optics, additional environmental inputs and a heavier emphasis on customization and Tour-level refinement. It’s built for golfers who want everything Bushnell can throw into a handheld device and are willing to pay for it. The Tour V7 Shift, by contrast, trims some of that excess while keeping the features that actually matter during a round. You still get slope, fast targeting, excellent optics and a confidence-boosting display, just without the extra layers that push the Pro X3+ firmly into luxury territory.

The result is a rangefinder that feels thoughtfully modern rather than overengineered. For golfers who want slope yardages presented clearly, fast readings and Tour-trusted performance without stepping all the way up to Bushnell’s most expensive option, the Tour V7 Shift makes a strong case for itself.
