Blackberry Ridge Golf Course in the Minnesota town of Sartell is expected to change ownership this spring. Director of Sales & Marketing Jacquelyn Beutler-Raetz told the USA Today Network and the St. Cloud Times the sale is expected to be finalized in April.

The prospective new owner has not been publicly announced, according to Beutler-Raetz, but she said the buyers are local from the St. Cloud-Sartell area. Blackberry Ridge Golf Course received multiple bids, but the business wouldn’t disclose how many.

“The current owners are ready to move onto the next chapter,” Beutler-Raetz said.

Blackberry Ridge Golf Course opened roughly 25 years ago. Beutler-Raetz said the new owner plans to keep the golf course and event center. Upgrades are likely in the future with more specifics to be announced at a later date. Blackberry Ridge was designed by architect Joel Goldstrand and features a par-72 layout of just under 7,000 yards. It sits about 90 minutes to the northwest of Minneapolis,

“They (the buyer) plan to build upgrades to the event center and golf course,” she said.

The buyer will be actively engaged with the current team this February and March, according to the announcement. There will also be a series of limited-run events with local chefs, beverage partners and area businesses.

As for those who already have contracts with the golf course, no major changes are immediately underway regarding active memberships and booked events.

“They (the buyer) plan to uphold those contracts,” Beutler-Raetz said.
